What Is A Candle Warmer?
Do you like this story?
Candles have been part of people’s lives for centuries. They have been used as main light for the rooms or for creating and ambience for a specific occasion. Candles in the past were made out of animal’s fat but modern candles are made from wax and special gel. People love candles and that’s no wonder because they add to room’s décor and create a beautiful ambience with the soft lighting. Some types of candles have mild relaxing scent that adds to the ambience of the room. But sometimes candles can be dangerous and carry a risk that many people would try to avoid.
To enjoy the comfort and the ambience of a scented candle but reduce this risk, and increase the safety you can use a candle warmer or candle. A candle warmer is an electric appliance and this handy appliance warms and melts a candle or scented fragrant wax to release the aroma without using flame. Candle warmers melt the candle quickly and in a way that is safe, clean, and healthy. Candle warmers can be intended to melt jar candles, or they can have their own plate or bowl on which a candle or a fragrant wax can be placed in order to release the smell. There are many companies which provide candle warmers available in a wide range of models and colours, as lanterns and lamps. Candle warmers are available everywhere, but if you want to be more creative you can make one by yourself.
It is very easy and you can design it up to your taste and needs. In order to make a candle warmer you need a table lamp, put a bulb from 25W which might be coloured and place a heat resistant ceramic plate or a bowl on the top of the lamp. The size of the ceramic plate and the top opening on the lamp should match. Place the scented candle or the fragrant wax on the plate and turn on the lamp. After some time, the candle will start realising the fragrance and you can enjoy the relaxing ambient of your room, filled with soft light and delightful scent.
If you don’t have candle warmer or table lamp you can use the radiator in your home. Place the plate or the jar of candle on the radiator and soon the fragrance will start spreading around the room. With this method you won’t get the atmosphere of the soft light, but it might be helpful in cases when you want to enjoy a relaxing scent and you don’t have a candle warmer. Another home appliance that can be used as a candle warmer is the electric plate of the coffee pot. The coffee pot plate does not keep the temperature constantly low thus the wax will melt faster than when the candle warmer is used.
