In human body the blood sugar level refers to the level of glucose in blood. Glucose mainly comes in human body through intake of varied food products. At times due to consumption of high-gylcemic food, pancreas cannot produce insulin to the extent body requires thereby glucose remains in blood rather getting absorbed in cells in form of energy thus shooting up the blood sugar level.
In order to regulate the sugar level, one must have a check on the types of food consumed daily. Foods rich in fiber and low in fat, sugar and salt proves to be very beneficial in this regard. Fruits, green vegetables, grains, cereals, dairy products low in fat, support to maintain a normal blood sugar level. One can even consult a dietician for a proper diet chart which suit one’s lifestyle and makes one feel better.
A very effective way to lower blood sugar level is to exercise regularly. Exercise helps to reduce stress and tension thus keeping a control not only in the level of blood sugar but also in body weight. Swimming and walking are one of the best activities to keep oneself fit.
In a day, one must have food in regular intervals rather than having heavy meals just for two or three times a day.
Smoking should be avoided as it directly affects the heart and thus the circulatory system thereby inducing the level of blood sugar.
One must avoid having soft drinks and ice creams as they happen to be very rich in carbohydrates.
One having high level of blood sugar must always be in observation and should keep a record of all the blood tests and medicines prescribed by the doctor.
