Organizing Yourself
Do you like this story?
Life is busy and everyone is struggling to keep everything straight, while, only few of us were blessed the organization gene. If this disorganization is clogging your life and you feel frustrated then it’s about the time to get organized. Start from organizing your life from outside and with them you will be able to start become organized on the inside.
In the busy schedule of life, human mind is clogged with bundles of information. With schedules getting busier every day it’s almost impossible to contain all the information in your mind. We cannot remember everything and rely too much on our memory. It’s a good idea to keep a notepad to write all such information and consult the notepad every time we need. Write down everything, from what you need to do to who you have to call. Write it even if you have to do it in next thirty minutes.
Make a habit of noting down everything. If you have an electronic organizer or you can afford one, use it. There’s no harm in taking help from technology. Also, make a list of things that you need and keep adding to that list as you remember or come across things that are finished.
Plan well in advance everything that you need to do. It’s a good idea to make daily, weekly or monthly schedules. This will organize all your business or personal activities. Set a time frame for every task, especially for those routine tasks. This will keep you away from procrastination. Also, you will better know how your time is being spend and what free slots do you have for leisurely activities.
So, never stress about things that are due, just schedule a time and then do them on time. Fussing about the pressure of the work you need to do will be counterproductive, hence, making a schedule will free your mind of extra burdens like remembering what you need to do and you can work well with a clear mind.
Just like fixing your schedules, fix a place for keeping a thing. Allot cabinets, boxes or baskets for things, like pens, gadgets, their chargers, batteries, and paste labels on them. File your important documents in an orderly way and place them in cabinets. Make sure to place the thing back to its place, as soon as you are done using it.
One cannot learn to be organized overnight. Organization takes time as building or breaking habits do. You first have to force yourself to do it and with time it will become a habit. It will then come naturally to you and life will become so much easier.
