How to Serve Scotch
Do you like this story?
Produced for over three hundred years, scotch is a whisky brand made in Scotland. Although it’s an acquired taste its enthusiasts are hooked to its oaky smooth taste and aroma. Its taste and smell are the key factors in determining how scotch is served.
· Serve it neat. Scotch lovers prefer their scotch neat, don’t have to add anything to scotch while drinking it, so as to enjoy its pureness and not dilute its flavor and aroma.
· Have some rocks. Put some ice cubes in a glass and then pour scotch over them, although some say that it masks the taste but they prefer it this way.
· Use a snifter. It’s a traditional vessel used in serving and drinking scotch, it warms the scotch when the drinker holds the glass adding flavor to it. Remember this vessel must be clean.
· Add mixers for those who prefer. Water and carbonated drinks like soda can be used as mixers for those who prefer it but in right proportions not to completely dilute the scotch and make it lose its flavor.
Cocktails. For those who feel scotch is too strong they have a cocktail made of scotch by mixing it with another whisky brand
