How to remove content advisor password in internet explorer

Content advisor is special feature in Internet explorer which restricts the web site from unauthorized use. The supervisor who is restricting the website can set a password for preventing it from other users. It can be done by changing the content advisor property. Sometimes supervisors forget the password and cannot change the property. That time following steps will help to remove the content advisor password:
1. Click on start button and choose run. Type regedit and select OK.
2. Now click on plus sign left of H_KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Now continue open registries by clicking on software, Microsoft, windows, current version and policies.
3. Click on rating folder and you will see an icon called key on right side of regedit window. Click and delete it.
4. Now close the registry. Restart your computer and run Internet Explorer. Choose view and click on internet options.
5. Now click on content tab and click on disable. When IE asked for password, leave it blank and click OK.
Conclusion
The content advisor is an example of good intension leading to undesirable consequences. As an IT administrator, you may concern to which websites your employees are not allowed and set password for that site. In addition to that it is very helpful for the IT administrator to know how to remove the password if you forget it.
