Do you like this story?
Digital photo frames are devices that allow you to enjoy watching photos without printing them out or putting them on the computer. They come in different sizes from 7 inch (17.8 cm) to 20 inch (50.8 cm). Digital photo frames usually display pictures directly form the memory card of the digital photo camera, and they also have some internal memory storage. Some digital photo frames have the option to upload pictures from USB, wireless or Bluetooth connection and few of them can upload pictures with cellular connection and exchange pictures from one photo frame to another.
Usually digital photo frames can display only pictures with JPEG format, but some can support additional multimedia content, such as movie clips and videos recorded in a digital camera, MPEG video files as well as MP3 audio. Some digital photo frames also support and display text files. These models that can play video have a build in speakers, and many digital photo frames have remote control. There types of digital photo frames that can load pictures directly from the internet from photo sharing or social sites like Flickr, Facebook, MySpace and Picasa, from RSS feeds as well as directly from the email account. These models are networked models and usually have wireless connection.
Most of the digital photo frames can display photos in a slideshow, which can have adjusted time interval and send photos to a printer. Commonly the digital photo frame will show images at 430 x 234 pixels where some types might have the option for stretching the width if a landscape image on a 16:9 ration. The most important features in digital photo frames are the screen size and quality, and the build in memory storage and the memory card storage.
The screen quality is definitely the most important when it comes to digital photo frames. If the screen is not top quality then there is no use of buying and using digital photo frame. The size of the screen is also vey important especially if you want to watch videos as well, so digital photo frames with 7 ratio will allow you to watch your picture but you if you want to watch video clips you would need 16 by 9 screen ratio.
Not many digital photo frames have built in memory and the one that do have offer very small storage. It is much better to buy your own memory card which is quite cheap and will give you the possibility to choose the storage space that will suit you the best to your needs. Digital photo frames have their disadvantages as well. Sometimes the display ration doesn’t go with the original picture ratio and pictures can not be displayed the way you want to. Your pictures can be presented as too small and with black borders, cropped or automatically zoomed.
