5 Great Explainer Videos
Explainer videos are mainly used in order to explain a business or product in a short space of time. Fantastically designed explainer videos can be the determining factor in whether or not a potential customer decides to use a product or business. There are a lot of explainer videos out there on the internet, but here are 5 of the greatest ones ever made.
One Trillion Dollars Visualised
This video was made for mint.com, and was originally posted on their blog in July of 2009. It was put together to highlight the extent that government spending had reached. The aim of the video was to help people understand just how much one trillion dollars is. The explainer video is packed with crazy facts and is a really good watch.
Skype Moments
This video was made for Skype a company that provides free internet calls. It Is extremely short and provides the viewer with a number of reasons why they should use Skype over the standard phone call. The video also highlights just how easy using Skype is making it even more appealing to potential customers.
Dollar Shave Club
This video was designed for a start up company. The video became viral extremely quickly receiving a large number of views in a short space of time. It contains all the relevant information you need but also contains a high number of laughable moments. All round it is a great explainer video.
The Pedro Story
This explainer video is for a company called Kiva. They offer a service that lets you lend money to people in poverty to help them out. The explainer video contains everything that a good explainer video should. It is short, it tells a story - but most importantly it contains a call to arms at the end making it even more effective.
Groupon
The explainer video created for the company Groupon is a very short one at only 30 seconds long. However in this time it explains everything that you need to know, it tells you what Groupon does and why you should use it over other companies. It really does make you want to start using Groupon.
Videos like these are great examples of how you can create a great explainer video for your company. Just have a look around online and watch some explainer videos and see what they are doing well, then just incorporate it into your own video. If you see something they aren't doing then by all means make sure that you do it in your explainer video.
