Malayalam film Pokkirirraja which was a superhit in kerala has been dubbed into tamil. The film has Mamootty and Prithviraj in the lead roles with Shriya Saran playing the main lead. The film also features actors like Riyas Khan, Siddique, Suraj Venjaaramoodu and Salim Kumar.
The fim was a superhit in Kerala following the mass commercial tamil style of direction by director Vyshakh. The film featured the debut of Shriya in Malayalam film industry.

The remake rights of the film in Hindi was bought some time back and Akshay Kumar will act in the role enacted by Mammootty.
not that the film is due to release in Tamil, the fans of Prithviraj in Tamilnadu will have another release of Prithviraj to celebrate before the much expected film Kochadiyaan in which he is doing an important role.
