Having a good car stereo provides you the best sound for your ears while you are driving. Whether you listen to the radio in the morning on your way to work, or you enjoy a fast electronic music, car stereo is a necessity for every person who spend a lot of time in the car because it makes the travelling more pleasant. Some automobiles have build in car stereo from the manufacturer itself that can be quite good. But for the passionate sound addicts these car stereos are never good enough, and they always upgrade the existing one or completely change the car stereo with a new one or very often even with a custom made car stereo.
Car stereos usually have three components, the head component where all control buttons, the radio and CD player are placed, and speakers which are usually built in the doors on the car to save space. Custom made car stereos apart from these two parts usually have subwoofers which are specifically loud speakers which the sound addicts like to put in their cars. Custom made or modern car stereos except the head unit, the speakers and the subwoofer, also have build in an amplifier, capacitors and duping on deadening materials for reducing the excess vibration of the panels in the car in response to loud subwoofer bass tones.
The head unit is the primary control, multi-purpose device in a car stereo.
The most usual components are a tuner with AM and FM bands as well as a small amplifier for bringing an audio signal to speakers. Other potential parts that can be included are diverse media devices, like tape player in older cars CD and DVD player, USB ports, even a portable hard disk drive might be built in. Many primary control devices in a car stereo also introduce a DSP and equalization components, as well as an interface for controlling another device that is build in the car like a parking camera, navigation system, odometer, etc.
Car stereo speakers are same like other loudspeaker with the same key components specialized for use in mobile settings. In most modern systems, speakers are based on certain parts that are common for all cars. These common places are the front and the rear deck, than the kick panel or the doors. The subwoofers are commonly based under the seats or in the trunk. Each position has its own assets and weaknesses in the quality of sound, and the viewpoint of the manufacturer itself.
Extremely loud car stereo sound systems in some countries and cities are restricted or even completely banned. The loud sound decibels can be dangerous and prevent the driver from being concentrated on the road which might lead to accidents.

“We are investing in the dead rather than the living through expensive funerals and that is bad,” said Allan Bagbin a minority leader in Ghana during a debate on the parliament floor. Another MP adds that he had bought 13 pieces of mourning clothes in one year. He even requests for one piece of cloth for all funerals.
Ghana, popularly known as the Gold Coast, is a developing country. The nation faces many economic challenges and achieving millennium development goals is still a dream to many. Having extravagant funerals is considered a misplacement of priorities by pundits to commit so much of their time and money to the dead.
I believe that a funeral rite has its place in the society and every departed loved ones need a decent funeral. A decent funeral is relative but it doesn’t need special training or skills in arithmetic to know whether a funeral is over the top or not. In this land people adore the dead and will commit so much to performing flamboyant funeral rites. While in other parts of the world people are working very hard every minute of the clock it’s on the contrary here. They spend 7 days a week performing final funeral rites and 40 days celebrating the dead. In fact the efficiency of a Member of Parliament or a politician is measured by the number of funerals they attend every weekend, this is evident as they every weekend from the president in the castle to the committee chairman in a village attend a funeral every weekend.
Kumasi is considered the funeral capital of Ghana, not only have funerals rites become occasions but ‘funeral contractors’ have sprung up. They are accompanied by big feasting and buffet dinners. What sounds funny is that even people who were neglected while they were still alive are; bought expensive caskets when dead, construction of a new family house or rehabilitating of the old one, expensive air tickets to family members abroad and it may be demanded that their bodies should stay in expensive morgues for extended periods.
If you thought the funerals are exorbitant, you haven’t heard it all yet. The caskets are either customized or imported. The shapes of the caskets represent an aspect of the someone’s life either the character of the person, profession or activity that the dead liked to do.
For instance a cigarette shaped coffin if the dead liked smoking;
A shoe shaped coffin if the dead love shoes
A fish shaped coffin if the dead was a fisherman
And to show style, elegance and pride, a Mercedes Benz shaped coffin
Why won’t anyone transfer these resources into the economy? After spending so much on expensive clothes, coffins and keeping the corpse in expensive morgues the widows and children are left with nothing and expected to fend for themselves. It appears that most people in this nation are spending countless hours each and every day at their places of work just to save so us others can celebrate their toil when they die.

Change is inevitable and happens in lives of all of us. Some people experience more basal change while others experience subliminal change, but that fact is we all face changes and deal with it according to our capacity or experiences. Many people try to run away from the change without realizing that change is good. It helps us grow in every respect. It keeps us mentally sharp because of the challenges it brings. Change often sets us out of our comfort zone and hands us the remotes of our lives. It gives us the control of our life.
Many people become afraid of change and don’t welcome it. Embracing change can be hard for people because they associate change with the uncertain. The uncertainty of change disturbs them and in extreme cases terrifies them. Some people accept the change and the way things have subsequently become but they’re scared on the inside or uncomfortable with the change. Those who resist embracing the change keep suffering and remember it’s easier to change than remain suffering.
One must have faith. It’s the first key to embrace the change. Faith counters the fear, fear or unknown or uncertainty. One must believe that they are able to take hold of the situation and steer it the way they want to. They should believe that they have the power to improve the situation. Faith is the first step to situations that feel unbearable, hopeless or strange. The doubt hinders the process of growth, moving forward and settling. Affirmation can support your faith till the change has been embraced.
We are always presented with options when we experience a challenge, task or a change. We always have our choices to approach the situation we are facing. A positive approach will lead us forward to the ways that will help us make most out of what we’re presented with, while, negative approach will offer us blockage, stagnation, frustration and failure.
We need to identify the change that is befalling our life. We need to know what does this mean for us and how can we make the most out of it. Clearly define the change that you want, in your mind; the desired outcome. Take the necessary actions to make it work for you and work consistently till the change is achieved.
Finally, it’s your desire for the change that helps you. We come across hurdles and process is often hindered. These obstacles are a part of journey. Once you desire the change right from your heart, that no matter what happens you have to work till the change is accomplished, only then you will find success.
Many people view change as a difficult situation to handle, but it can give you choices to accomplish more in your life only if you embrace the change.
Keywords: change, embracing change, embrace, success, faith, choice, desire.

One of the keys to reach your goals and success is to show determination. To ensure your determination you also need to eliminate any escape routes. In order to stop yourself from abandoning your goals and turning around you need to make going forward more persuasive than turning around. When the difficulties befall us it’s very tempting to retreat and seek the comfort zone. We need to burn our boats to stop us from retreating back to our comfort zone.
Elimination of an escape route is compelling reason to move forward and keep your focus of your goal. It will help you avoid the impulse of going back. When you burn your boats it will increase your motivation because there’s no way back and you will then keep pressing till you achieve what you are headed for. Burning boats doesn’t mean taking wild risks and move forward in a reckless manner or to achieve your goal by hook or crook. Achieving goals requires careful and sensible planning and precisely following through those plans. Every mission has risks involved but those are the risks that make you move forward and not end you up in chaos.
Before you set off on the journey toward your goals and burn your boats, make sure you have the supplies and the tools required to achieve the goal. If you think you need to improve your life and feel you are underpaid for your job, it’s foolish to quit the job before you have found yourself an alternative source of income. Quitting a job without getting hold of another one will leave you with no income, unpaid bills and bankruptcy. If you can get hold of another job before quitting or you create a savings account that will better help you with your journey.
If you want to start something new and you find your other activities or relationships a hindrance for them then abandon those. Burn all the boats and set off for your journey. By burning the boats you will tap into your faith and everything will be in your distinct focus. The steps will follow the path of success. We all have habits and the way of doing things that often hinder us. For example, many students while working on assignments turn on music or TV and eventually get lost in those than focusing on their assignments. People in offices while working often end up on social networking sites like facebook etc. This affects their performance. Burning the boats means keeping such distracting things out of reach while you’re working on the completion of your goal.
Don’t jump on the path of journey without thinking, formulating a process, and having a solid plan. Once you have all these then burning your boats will help you move forward.
Keywords: burn the boats, escape route, turning around, comfort zone, achievement, goals.

Conflict is inevitable. Everyone experiences conflict in his life. Irrespective of the work or home life, one may come across a disagreement with someone. We must learn to resolve the conflict because a conflict among two member of a team can affect the productivity or a conflict in a relationship may result in a serious misunderstanding. Some people lack courage to face their problems; they avoid conflicts or show evasiveness, while, some tend to be very confrontational.
These are not the right ways to handle a conflict and just like this many people have not yet fund the perfect way to deal with the conflicts in a smooth and effective manner. One must learn to handle conflicts with tact because sooner or later he’s going to fine himself in a disagreement.
Many people make this mistake of focusing on the blame while solving a conflict. Focusing on blame will only irritate the people further instead of producing any positive results. Your focus should be on what you can do to make things better. Stop the process of fault finding and focus on rectifying the situation. Think about how you can contribute to the situation. Put effort to cool people down.
Second most common mistake is involving people personally into the matter. You should separate the people from the problem. Separate a person’s position and avoid personal attack or actions that translate as personal attack. It’s very important to separate yourself and your ego so that you can address the problem more effectively. Getting your focus off the wrong things will also help you see the conflict situation more clearly. You will then certainly grab the substance of the conflict.
Avoid the accusatory tone when in a conflict. You must stay calm and prefer being in a private situation. Address the problems than accuse the other person. Be accommodating. Let the other person speak. Listen to them intently, show your interest and try to understand what they want to convey. Try your best to keep composure and stay neutral while listening to their side of story. If you are frustrated then it will always show. If the other person is acting rude, you should still keep your dignity. It will help the situation from getting worse and might lead it in the direction of resolution.
People, while resolving conflicts, often indulge in gossip. You must avoid gossip at all costs. Gossip will only focus on the negative points of a person and it will make the situation more difficult to fix.
Conflicting situations can be avoided when you use tools like politeness, consideration and limit in your every day dealing and conversations. Prevention is better than cure but if you come across a conflict, don’t worry. It can be fixed. You just need to learn the right way.
Keywords: conflict, conflict management, strategy, disagreement.

Attitude is made of thoughts, feeling, and actions. It is an established way of our responding to people and situations. It roots from what we have learned; it’s based on our thoughts, beliefs and values, assumptions that we hold, and then these things direct our actions. It’s our actions that reveal our attitude. It’s an attitude that drives behavior. Our body language, gestures and every message that we send out is based on our attitude. People consciously or unconsciously understand these messages and pick up the attitude behind that.
Life is hard and inevitably full of challenges, hard knocks, and discord. If you have a good attitude it will help you cope up with all the hardships because it’s an attitude that determines your functioning under given circumstances. A positive attitude will make you learn about your strengths. It will test your firmness when times are tough and ensure your success; however, if you have a negative attitude your life will seem like an endless journey on a jagged path. A negative attitude will make the adversity and challenges even tedious and hard for you. You will become frustrated easily.
Unsuccessful people are mostly those with negative attitudes. They spend all of their time and energy on a thing as unproductive as worrying about future and its uncertainty. They keep moving in circles of negative thoughts. Those who realize that hardships are a part of life, give their required amount of worried thought to it, and spend more time in productive things are likely to be successful.
To change your attitude you need to be aware of your thoughts, feelings, words and actions. This alertness will tell you if your thoughts and feelings are set on a negative direction or they are positive. Everyone has a habit of self-talk. Notice your self-talk. Is it judgmental? Are you critical of yourself? Does your self-talk get you down?
These questions will help you know about your current attitude. Once you become aware of your current attitude and understand how your thoughts feed to this attitude, you’ll be able to consciously choose new thoughts for yourself. If you find yourself indulging in negative self-talk, you need to stop that. If you change what you are thinking, it will change what you do and you will eventually get the control of your life back.
A positive attitude will make a person feel better, happier and more satisfied irrespective of the circumstances. Researchers have also shown that people with positive attitude are less likely to show aging signs, stay stronger and healthier than those with negative attitude. A gloomy attitude is actually killing a person, while, a positive attitude is transforming and improving a person’s feeling and life.
Keywords: attitude, behavior, positive, adversity, negative, frustration, self-improvement.
